conversations and queries
We were in a drive through and I hear Crab singing in the back seat.
"We are tigers, mighty mighty tigers" from the Frosted Flakes commercials.
"Hey, Abbey. Do you know the name of the tiger on the cereal box?"
"Mr. Flakey?"
"No, his name is Tony."
*a long pause*
"I don't know where you come up with your ridiculous nonsense!"
Just. Gobsmacked. Me. After everything I've done to her and said to her in her lifetime, from trying to teach her to talk like an old lady to calling her a communist, saying that the tigers' name is TONY is the most ridiculous thing I've ever done? Bizarre.
So I called Hannah, to get her to confirm this bit of info for me.
"Hannah, what's the name of the tiger on the Frosted Flakes box?"
Abbey yells, "PUT IT ON SPEAKERPHONE!"
*a pause*
"Um, Mark? Timothy?"
"No."
"I TOLD YOU IT WASN'T TONY!"

There is a song that Abigail likes, she calls it "Peter likes Paul". The name of the song is "All In", and there is a woman's name at the beginning of the first verse that we cannot understand. I am prepared to offer the person who can give me the missing name a GENUINE AUTHENTIC FORT DRUM POSTCARD signed by Abbey herself. Tempted, aren't you?
I can't find a link to the song, so it may be difficult. But I'll keep looking! And might I say, I'm quite angry that I have to purchase the album again off iTunes to get the bonus track.
But anyway, here's the verse:
"[woman's name] likes Peter, but Peter likes Paul (Ah-ha! It makes sense, now!)
she caught 'em making out in a cubicle (I rhymed cubicle once. It's hard)
She ran and told her girlfriend to cause a bit of fuss
then she took another hit on the pixie dust"
Oh, mystery woman, who are you?
