Because I was asked by ldybastet

1. What was your fav story as a child? (fairy tale, legend, or book, etc.)
~ My favorite book was The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. It is still one of my favorites. Because I read so much as a child, books were my friends. I so coveted a book that would transport me to a magical world! And it didn't hurt that the book was printed in contrasting colors. It's a beautiful book and an even better story. My favorite legend was The Deer Lady, which my grandmother told me about. She is a beautiful woman who has deer legs under her skirts. She goes to pow-wows and dances with the young men, then lures one away with her. When he tries to mate with her, she kills him. (I didn't find out the last part until I was much older!)

2. Which season of the year do you prefer and why?
~ Fall! Definitely Fall! I love the leaves changing colors on the trees. I love sweaters. It's not too hot, and it's not yet bitterly cold. I love fall colors, oranges and browns and dark greens.

3. Who are your three favourite characters from your main fandom and what drew you to them?
~ The HP fandom is my main fandom. My absolute favorite is Severus Snape, he has taken up residence in my head! My husband said that it's because I see myself in him...I too was made fun of in school, and I do see things in him that are similar to me. I'm a bit snarky and prickly myself. I love Lucius, because he's so...refined. He's proud and haughty and strong, ambitious and cruel. He is completely himself, if that makes any sense. I think what happened in the last book was wretched, and it's yet another reason I disregard that book. Lately I've become enamored of Lupin. I see him paired with Snape easily, because they are both damaged. It's a different dynamic than when he is paired with Lucius. With Lucius, I tend to gravitate towards fic where they are both strong and it's a much more equal relationship. With Lupin I can see one or the other as more submissive. I love Alpha!Remus and Bottom!Remus. The same with Snape. It allows me a different viewpoint.

4. Short stories, long stories? One-shots or chaptered fics? Plot-driven or character-driven? What type do you prefer to read or write?
~ I love drabbles and short stories. But I also love the chaptered fics. I love to get lost in a story, but sometimes I just want a quick read. It really depends on my mood and my attention span!

5. Tell me something about your Native American beliefs that I, being from Sweden, would probably have no idea about.
~ Well, the issue that is hardest to explain is the one that I believe with my whole heart. I see things that no one else can see. My grandmother said that I was gifted, like my uncle. I've always been able to sense when something was there. Another is the fact that we believe that people are able to change form, into an animal. I remember once my grandmother said that this person would never be found, he had become a bird and flown into the Green Hills. Also I can't look at owls, because they mean someone will die.

I hope you liked my answers! If you want five questions, just ask.
